Dear Members and Friends,
Our next online meeting will be held on September 4 at 6:00 PM CET. This meeting comes on the heels of achieving our milestone of 1,000 signatories for our petition (1009 at the moment of writing)! If you haven’t already, please add your signature to our petition for a federal Europe.
While reaching 1,000 signatures is symbolically significant and worth celebrating, we recognize it’s just the beginning. Given the ongoing challenges facing Europe and the EU’s increasingly apparent limitations on both supranational and national levels, the demand for a federal Europe should be widespread. We need pan-European mobilization on a much larger scale to ensure Europe doesn’t become a peripheral actor in global power dynamics where it has limited influence.
Meeting Agenda:
• New Petition Launch: We’ll discuss the option to introduce (and how) a more concise and direct petition demanding the initiation of procedures to create a Federal European State, targeting all European peoples and organizations who recognize this transition’s necessity
• Expanding Our Reach: Discussion on connecting with like-minded individuals across all European countries who share our goals but need local organization. We’ll revisit creating TfE branches and organizing local events
• Collaboration Opportunities: Exploring ways to connect and coordinate with other federalist organizations throughout Europe
• Newsletter Development: Review of our new monthly newsletter (check it out here) and discussion of upcoming topics. We’re currently preparing a digital Europe issue and welcome your input on this and other themes we should explore
• Physical Meeting Planning: Assessing the practicality and value of organizing an in-person gathering somewhere in Europe, potentially connected to local events across different regions
• Anything that members consider important: Bring issues that you think are important to the discussion so that we can approach them as a group
