Together for Europe: The Basics

As our petition has now touched the 1000 signatories milestone, let’s recap:

Together for Europe imagines a new path for our continent: a true European Federation.
A multinational mosaic where nation states remain, but are joined in a federal system with two democratic chambers—one elected on the basis of its population, one elected as a senate with each state having equal say.

This means leaving behind the weak compromise of intergovernmentalism, which has left Europe divided, hesitant, and vulnerable. Federalism is not only stronger, it is more democratic—and the only way smaller nations can avoid being reduced to vassals in the new geopolitics shaped by Putin’s despotism, Trump’s authoritarianism, and China’s raw economic power.

Such a federation would not be imposed, but freely chosen—built by the nations ready to take that step together. The EU itself could remain as a reformed trade zone, with the European Federation participating within it, while others stay outside.

A sovereign, democratic, federal Europe is not utopia—it is survival.
